My friends garden

What are these flowers Mark ?

They're by the side of the pond in my friends garden, i will try and remember to ask him next time i visit him.

I have asked my friend, i'm sorry he doesn't know what it is either. He seems to think it likes growing by the pond, and says it spreads fast - he has to keep pulling some out to keep in under control. Maybe someone else will know the name of it? I have added the picture into the questions section to see if anyone does know what it is.

It's called Mimulus ( or monkey flower ). There are several species, some annual and some perennial. I can't tell which this is. Maybe someone will answer you better.

I feel such a plonker now ! so it is ! ive got them growing in my garden they seed all over the place , thank goodness I like them ! lol
