i hadn't seen your blog no, i have now !! i knew it was tender but not that tender i kept it in my wooden shed under wraps, but not sheltered enough it seems..

Most years it would probably have been ok......

well you know the old saying you live and learn.... i have learnt now..

I prefer not to mess around with this as I have visions of hungry mice finding it!!

yes, i had all my lily bulbs that i had scaled in the shed and they ate the lot... there was some rarer ones too...

Oh, no, Meanie! I'm growing Gloriosa first time. And was very upset when I got the information that this plant should be purchased with a shoot, but not a bulb as I've done. Watering, being outside and high temperatures made their best! In two month! My patience has won! :) It's 20 inches now. I know it's very small yet, but hope for any flowering...:)

Always buy them as tubers (bulb) Uma - they're easy to get to shoot, only requiring heat, and so much cheaper!
