Always a bit of a headache knowing what to do with this deck.. its at the back of the garden (cos we're on quite a steep plot) backs onto the park.. I never really know what to do with this space ??? Any ideas suggestions to improve it would be most welcome, thanks x

Maybe a sun lounger? It looks a very nice place to be!

Sorry, I started to reply to this and then left it so I didn't see drc's reply. I wondered about grouping the plants together?
I like drc idea of grasses - they could be collected together in a raised bed and definitely a seat of some sort.

Thank you so much for your comments/suggestions. Great ideas...thank you ! LLast wkend planted up a small bed on the right and am going to do similar thing on the left hand side..to break up the visual line across the front. Will post another pic of my progress in a moment. We never actually sit in this space its a bit odd as its at the far end of the rear garden and we have a lawn then a patio area off the back of the house..This deck was built by the previous owners as we are on a steep plot I would have preferred to build a retaining wall and back fill it but that just isnt an option as we dont have access without demoliting the garage ! Thanks again for your great suggestions and kind comments x

I look forward to seeing what you do, I like patios at both ends of my garden nice to sit right away from the house sometimes.

This is nice, 2 things strike me about it! 1stly is its a decked area without seating? I think I would go for a table and chairs to give it a real purpose and a striped Awning rather than a parasol.
2ndly I would want to introduce something to bring together the green grass and the blue deck and break up that long line across the front? My suggestion for this would 2 beds in front of the decking either side of a bit to walk on to the decking. I would fill the beds with grasses to give movement and coloured and slate to blend the green and blue together. Lastly to complete the look I would group the pots in just 2-3 distinct groups. You did ask lol
