Excellent result Lin!
It's Hymenocallis Homebird - a gem that frustrated for years until I finally got it right this year.
Not sure what Lins tip would be, but mine is do not buy small bulbs (as I used to) - they should be at about 70mm in diameter.

Thanks for both your comments Homebird and Meanie. I can't really give you any tips Meanie as this is the first time I have grown this and didn't even realise it was kept indoors. I was a bit dissapointed when I knew. They are very pretty , but I found they only lived about 3 days and that was it.I bought these from Homebase when they had reduced boxes of different perenials - half price and 2 in a box, so I bought 2 boxes thinking they could go in the garden, but never mind, they are very pretty. Do they need any special pampering through the winter?

Mine will be allowed to dry out and then stored in the pot in the loft, bringing them back out late March I guess.
But keep watering and feeding them until the end of summer, and depending upon who you talk to there is a chance that one bulb may produce more than one flower stem.
