having removed the very large mexican orange that split badly in the snow gave me the chance to change things around, we have dug in plenty of alpine grit and added some darker foilage plants and alpines.it looks a bit bare now and will be interesting to see a photo at the end of summer to compare.this goes for the other two borders .
