Maple branch hung up in phone lines

When the town officials came to repair the damage they assessed the condition of the tree then gave the property owner 30 days to remove it or the town would do so, at the owner's expense. No action was taken, and the tree was taken down today, for what i am sure was a hefty pricetag, as they needed a huge crane to reach the upper canopy, as this old, old maple was over 100' high.
