I planted this shrub late last summer, after it had sat in its pot for several months at the nursery. It lost a couple of branches over winter, but it is in bloom now, so I hope it has settled in. It's barely 12" high yet.

I thought I was buying a variety of Japanese maple, at a bargain price, but then realized when I looked it up that it was a flowering shrub. I'm very happy with that!
