Shade Or Sun?

Had this Purple Place plant since last yr which dont seem 2 be growing much?It doesnt say on the Label if it should be planted Full Sun or Shade ? Can any 1 help? Thanx :)

That doesn't look like 'Palace Purple' Jacque? I have one & the leaves are actually a dark colour, not green... Wonder it it is a more exotic (& possibly tempremental, lol) variety with the wrong tag? I do like this leaf with it's pink edging though. What sort of flowers does it get?

I have one growing very happily in a place which is mainly sunny, but I've also grown them in fairly shady spots where they seemed just as happy!
Maybe there is something in the soil it doesn't like?
