I'm having a real challenge finding something to smother that arch because the water collects around there in winter and when it's very wet...like all this summer!! lol. I have found that my honeysuckle is the only thing that has really taken off, so I'm glad that finally something is growing up there!

Have you used your fire pit this summer Karen? It was dark here by 9 last night. The nights seem to be drawing in quickly with the dull evenings.

Yes, I know, we've hardly had any light nights at all here Annie, it's very disappointing. I had to put the lamps on in the living room after 8pm last night, when on a clear night it would be light until 10pm easily at this time of year. The summer solstice just passed us by un-noticed this year..very sad.

I was in the garden till 8.45 dead heading and weeding. When I came in I thought it was at least 9.30 so shocked to find it wasn't even 9. It's sad how this summer is just passing us by.

Yes, its all happening up there, above the clouds, where the aeroplanes are Annie! Did I tell you we have booked for Tenerife again in late Oct...I'm sure I did....hotel is called Sensatori, in Guia de Isora.....a bit further west than Costa Adeje.
