A mini relative of Gloxinia! the flower is about an inch.the leaves are thin and you can see the veins in red,Largest leaf is 2x1-1/2", it is a tuber/bulbit is about 20 years old . I made another from its ofset.Moist,African violet soil, and filtered bright light.Should be transplanted about every 6 mo.in the late spring it flowers continualy, right now only one blossom

I left my Gloxinia in dormancy in the conservatory fully intending to repot in the spring, but it burst back into life before I did it.

It sits on a shelf over the kitchen sink.it is in a 3" pot with 3 stems, off the bulbit.the leaves have a stiff, furry serface.
