When I moved into my house a good few years back, we were given by a neighbour, a sundial,birdbath,mushroom and other ornaments that were beautifully 'cast' from (not only) cement by a chap who lived down the lane, some time before.
As my garden was a bit neglected at the time, and I hadn't got into (clueless fumbling) gardening at the time, they were eventually 'chucked'. Only one of the smaller (over-painted) 'mushrooms' remains, goodness knows why !
The sundial was exceptional, totally brassed up and everything.
On reflection, I'm brassed off...
