I'm afraid it will never do that, Mark. it's about 150 years old and our tree surgeon has told us that it is on its way out. As you say, lots of firewood - and sadly, may be LOTS more to come!

Lay this on it's side and plant in the holes, don't discard it everything has a use.

Amazing to think how long trees will keep growing for. 150 years old, certaily makes you think.

That's off the old weeping Ash tree, M. The poor tree is over 150 years old and is coming to the end of its life. Yes, we have used the wood for our logburner. It burns very well.
