Thanks Karen. I think the trick is to ignore them:) I NEVER water these, rarely visit either as they are along the side of the house.

Yes Karen, apparently so. I think I'm going to name my garden "Opposite". Hostas do well when ignored, acer loves the morning sun etc. I think you know where I'm going....

Just what do Slugs and Snails eat in Ontario? Hostas are top of the menu over here!

I think they're terrified of the Japanese Beetles I've had this year :) I'll trade you snugs and snails for my beetles :)

Oh No Muddy!!!! This is exactly how Japanese Beetles were introduced here. You do not want these!!!!! You would end up lamenting the "good old days" when you used to curse slugs and snails.
