Azaleas

They are gorgeous, can only grow them in pots where I live as they don`t like my soil....

Azaleas & Rhododendrons grow beautifully here in the central part of the North Island of NZ. I had an azalea in my previous garden, but it was only small & had been planted eight years ago ... flowered for the first time in the year we moved! I intend putting a few around this new garden, so it will be interesting to see how they do. We have huge gardens just devoted to azaleas & rhodos in this part of NZ & I have visited some of them, but sadly did not keep the photos, as I have soooo many gardening pics in my files already.

I love Azaleas - we only have one would like more

Azaleas are gorgeous & come in so many beautiful colours. I put one into our new side bed a few days ago & this afternoon, in-between bouts of heavy rain, we planted a native clematis paniculata nearby to climb up the fence. Hoping they will both do really well in this area.
