Bergenia in Spring

This was the spring plant this year, now about four years old, I pulled it and divided after flowering. I got four plants in the end, it was much bigger than I expected. Such a trusty things here, protected with a bit of straw mulch to keep off the ice.

Congratulaitons, I wouldn't dare, my last try with orchids ended up as one survival and 2 infected plants :(

Oh, sorry to hear that. This plant is too big for the balcony anyway. Tall and wide, although low maintenance and low light loving. You would need a trough or something for it.
