Euonymus on the slope (Euonymus fortunei 'Emerald n Gold')

I love the way these brighten up the garden on dark winter days

Golden evergreens are invaluable aren't they. I only have the silver one, but even that is quite nice over the winter, and much better behaved than Ivy. I've just hauled two ivies out of my garden...they were eating up the fence wood!

I gave up on trying to eradicate the ivy...Its next doors and so i planted the golden Euonymus and its covering the ivy nicely....:>)

Lovely Annella. Funnily enough I was looking at mine today and thinking how it was brightening the border, they go a bit unnoticed until now.

I have quite a few in shady spots where not much else will grow. Taken lots of cuttings of these ;o)

I do too Annella, they take quite easily, dont they. These are good for growing up against a fence too, arent they.
I have a few young ones Karen, if you'd like one.

I have golden privet too, not spectacular but again bright as is Lonicera nitida " Baggesen's Gold " - I'm a big fan of yellow and variegated leaves.

I have a few Golden privets Dawn, they make a good backdrop in summer but stand out well in winter ;O))
