Hi Drc726
Thanks for taking the time to look at the photo, hope you looked at the other two. Well its not always looked like this, all down the left side of the garden was a big shed, 30x12, as I live in a small house needed the space to keep things in, but in December last year it was set on fire by vandals. Any was I decided to build a garage and turn the garden back in to somewhere to sit in the sun.
Stating from the left hand corner I put in some small carnations and roses then fruit bushes, black currants, red currants, blue buries and a gooseberry, these gave me a good fest , then filled the remained with flowers (names un known) plus I put a few herbs in, time, rosemary, sage, mint, dill, parsley, mixed in between flowers, across the small path again some flowers (name not known) I picked them as they looked ok and gave a nice flower which during the year I have not been disappointed. Then there’s my Winter Jasmine which I planted in front of my shed where the door was, (about 30years ago) intending to let it grow over the shed but had second thoughts and kept trimming it back, was able to save it from the fire although it was a bit dilapidated but with encouraging words it came back and flowered for me. Behind is a plant, again don’t know the name just looked good. I build up the ground with some grow bags, compost in bags and over the past 18months we have had a wheelie bin for garden and food waste, but was never collected, so when I started this project the bin was full so just mixed it in to the soil, and behold behind the Jasmine we have had such a big crop of potatoes, this I can only put down to the potato peelings put in the bin over time, and may I said they were great, boiled with the mint, roasted, and chips.
Next year I intend to move the fruit plants to this spot and make a frame to protect the fruit from the birds which took about half of this year’s crop
