Purple Buddleia, (Buddleja davidii)

In the foreground is a lily. Last year the lily had about 20 stems growing from the ground this year about 7. I had to replant to large pots as when digging around them I have never seen so many slugs of different species. They had decimated the bulbs. Not only this but last year I had these beautiful red beetles appear. I was to find later they are the Scarlet Lily Beetle whose wide spread growth is being closely monitored.
