Really? Interesting! We planted these as a screen. Maybe a bit strange too but nearly effective :-)

They do 'French' bedding, grasses, perennials and larger annuals all mixed in, surprisingly good. They also use Phalaris, but have to dig it out regularly and replant.

Recently I've seen roundabouts and such with impressive planting. I think it's a wonderful trend!

I agree. At least it shows some imagination, but also it takes in a much wider range of plants and effects. If some parts of it don't work this year you can always replace just the poor spots. Good trend ok. Must stick up some photos.
