I agree with Buzzbee, it is a veritable gem of a garden; it appears to have quite a history and has obviously seem better days. Your understandable excitement about it is evident in your posts, please keep us posted on the ideas you have for it and the progress you make, we love to share such things.
Buzzbee has a valid point though, there is evidence that another has had a passion for your garden in the past and there are probably many treasures hidden there. Some of the things that appear may not be to your liking, but there will be a gardener ( on GoY or elsewhere) who would willingly swop /barter ...... enabling you to add what you would like in your garden.

you dont really get the view that this is a slope here, at the top is a trunk about 3.5 feet across, which fell down in winds about 12 months ago, before i bought the house, unfortunately it fell into next doors house, through the roof, to the bedroom,fortunately nobody was hurt.
