Yes it's a Tithonia.

Came from a pound shop box of shake and rake seeds, so an absolute bargain .

You're right about it taking over though, very tall and and lasted til the frosts.

I harvested some seed, but have not managed to grow any since. Will keep trying...

Well worth having, if you have the space...beautiful flower...:>)
