wild rhubarb

This is all around here right now, already pulled some bunches, just before they go to seed. Real big and showy things. I like them but not too close to the new beds. They were starting to shadow.

It actually all poisonous, mostly leaf, no cane like the garden rhubarb. The seed head is real big and dried seed is ground and used as a flour extender or replacement. This ones toast already but I'll post a pic of the seed head when they really show.
