Thanks Yorkshire they were very difficult to capture, had to put a zoom lens on. They wouldn't let anyone get anywhere near them.
apparently they are very people shy.

What kind of ducks are they? Never seen them before.

They are called Gooseanders, Usually seen in large lakes where they stay more or less as far away as possible from the public. They are wary of people.
