pond cleaning

Hello everyone , we ( my husband) emptied the big pond and cleaned out all the silt , we put it around the garden but it needs digging in it is just laying there weeks later . Everywhere looks really drab but I keep looking at last years photo's and look forward to seeing the garden lovely again. The fish were put into our other two ponds but no sign of them yet ,it is still too cold .
