Thanks Cinders, a friend came round and said that my "roses" were blooming early ! LOL

That seems very early Val, plenty of buds on mine but none of them are anywhere near blooming. It's a beauty too, any idea what variety it is?

Lily ,I did know but is lost in the mists of time, a friend bought it for me as a "twig" from Woolworths 30 years ago.

Beautiful. I have a large camilia that was already in our garden when we moved in 18 months ago. It didn't do very well this year....had plenty of flowers but all fell off before they had wilted. I read somewhere it could be something to do with the strong winds we had when it first flowered! Hope it'll do better this year!
