You must really work hard getting such a lovely display.all that watering and then you eventually loose them.it's very sad.

Hi Willi
Ive just looked at a few of your photos of your garden from last year. You made a really colourful pretty garden. I expect you realise by now how labour intensive that type of garden is!!! Theres not much time for sitting in, its nearly all work. Do you plan to put a few more shrubs in this year? It would give you a good base for your colourful annuals and also give you a bit of interest in the winter. Do you grow the annuals yourself from seed or buy them in? For a person who says they are new to gardening you should be really proud of yourself!

Hi Poppy
Glad you liked the pics.
I do want more shrubs this year, thats why Ive built the raised beds, to give a bit more planting room.
It was a bit of both last year, some from seed, some brought. My veg was all from seed. Dahlias from tubers brought from wilkos & 6 out of 10 roses I got in the £1 shop made it, but I was only left with 3 as my mum, sister & friend all pinched one!

I'd keep quiet next time you buy any interesting plants, and keep them under lock and key until you plant them out!
