Golden boy

Some pairs of goslings are easy to follow as th ey have distinctive parents or in this case distinctive goslings. This gosling I named Golden boy. He was the offspring of a canada goose and a grey lag who had bred together. All the other goslings were pale but this one shone out like gold. He was much smaller than the others and utterly adorable. I followed him for a week, but sadly he disappeared never to be seen again. That is nature but I was still very sad. You get quite attached sometimes!
