I will appreciate if somebody write to me, if this expression is referring to somebody, who is clumsy, as we say "as if he was from the wood".
Once I used this expression in front of Englishman and he said, he had never heard that expression.

I've never heard of this expression either. Like your wood man though!!

Why is it then in all vocabularies?

i have heard of it Katarina but only because my Spanish friend said it a few times and i had to ask him what he meant..

Lol, what did he mean, do you know? if spanish and slovak dictionaries have this expression in english, it MUST existed...
