We're busy trying to sort it out. Last year was general tidying up, cutting back and restoring borders. This year it's more of the same, keeping on top of last years hard work. We concentrated on the main pond last year and on getting some colour into the garden.

It's a little difficult to work out the layout but you seem to have different zones, lawn, mature borders, trees, walls...and pond(s) :) I can imagine the work to pull it back, was it neglected? What I see is a great scope for specimens and lot's of other things happening in the different places.

The garden is at the top of it's own hill, the drive and garage are on two seperate aspects, at the bottom of the hill. There are several zones, the house is in the centre of the garden with access all round, we,ve temporarily put some wire up to keep the dog in the main garden.
I shall take some pictures of it today and post them starting from the street so you can get a clearer idea. yes the garden has been neglected, and needs lots of work to pull it together. I have lots of ideas for different areas of it.
Like all gardens it is a work in progress! In total it is just short of a quarter of an acre, but with all the areas it is more like a series of different rooms.

Thanks, will look forward to the pics.
2009 was my neglect turnaround year, yes remember the sheer work needed...
