I thought it was dead growth at first, then realised it was reddish brown cones

I have two Chamaecyparis lawsoniana "Wisselii" in my garden. I planted them 4 years ago, but they are very slowly growing trees and have very chaotical although attractive shape. These cones on the photo look very decorative, but I am not sure, if so much clusters are typical for this tree. Or are they?

Thank you, Severnside :) It looks like that, although my trees did not have cones yet.

I will be direct, as usual. DonĀ“t you think that education of boys and girls separately can cause problems in their sexual orientation later in the life? Like boys fall in love platonically with the teacher first and then in twenties move to his flat :) I have nothing against homosexuals, I just wonder, what is environmental and what genetics, sorry for analysis.

I agree Katarina, mixed schools mean that girls and boys grow up together at a critical time. I think it's less to do with sexual orientation but just the general bonding that doesn't take place in single sex schools, for some anyway.

Thank you :)

Schools are for education, not social/sexual bonding. I went to an all-girls' school, and so did Daughter, and concentrating on lessons was made FAR easier by not having soppy, disruptive boys all over the place. There are plenty of them outside in the real world if you want a little light flirtation in your formative years. (Or "heavy petting" as it used to be so coyly phrased) Or more.

Gattina, I attended mixed basic schools, mixed grammar school for natural sciences and mixed University :) I had very strict upbringing and once I was punished cruelly by a teacher just because she got in her hands a paper roll, which I had sent to friend in next row, in which I wrote, that I liked very much a boy from the next class. I was 13 year old at that time. I was punished in school and at home too. Till University age I had been afraid just to have something with boys.
Schools are for education, but for human beings, not brainwashed soldiers.
