I've found numerous little ligs...within a 20 ft. radius of this plant!!

I'm wondering if perhaps the seeds that are germinating were there all winter and perhaps the seed you have would benefit from cold treatment.
worth a try maybe?

What kind of Ligularia is it, Lori? I am so excited - my one on the stream bank has TWO flower stems coming! Will it seed itself do you think?

Hi Spritz... this is Gregynog Gold (I think) I add the aside because I keep seeing so many similar plants with other names...it's flowers look like large orange yellow daisies...and when they seed they are like a dandelion head...quite interesting...think I have a pic posted of a seed head with frost on it...anyway... I just bought another lig..different var. because I liked this one so much (for the foliage wasn't fussy about the flower) but the one I bought recently has very deep cut foliage same lovely red underneath...with spikes of small yellow (bright) flowers...called przewalskii (like the horse) variety "Goldenray"... hth. and yes it should self seed for you. I have little ones coming up around the garden.

I'm having trouble getting the seeds you sent me to grow! I think I have one little one going now, I kept sowing a few seeds in different locations to see where they would grow best.
