My next project...

I want to try and create a mini pond in that black pot. I already have an Equisetum hyemale that I think should be quite happy living in there, and will look for a mini water lilly to put in. I bought 'Water Gardening in Containers' on amazon and it's proved quite useful in finding out what to do to to create container gardens. I will probably line the tub with old compost bags first, but I will have to find a way to hide the sides so the plastic doesn't show.

Good luck - hope it works out for you (it'll look great in that black pot)

or put a pot/bucket without any wholes in it, fill the space between it and the pot with compost. Then you can put bit of slates on the surface trying to hide the container edges. I would say old compost bag could be bit tricky to use - a miniature hole in it can be a big problem, lol.

I agree with kasy Plastic would not be my first choice either.Assuming you are not able to find an inside container
,to Plug the hole in the bottom you could mix some cement and put in the base or visit B&Q for two galvanize washers two rubber washers and a bolt same as they used to repair buckets.
