when I was taking the picture I noticed only one heron. Looking at the screen I noticed more... how many can you see?

yes - 4 of them. On my way back I've heard them arguing but noticed only 2.

It is spring...and Herons have to get together sometime.
Brilliant photo, I have seen a pair in flight but four ! It looks odd not being just one.
