I tried to plant some from seed once SL....Nothing happened...Then they go and do that.

Dandelions belong among indicator plants, e.g. show on the quality of the soil, without laboratory :) They grow preferably on soils rich in humus, which are slightly acidic. Pimpernel, pimpernels are indicators of calcareus soils :)

Katarina - Wales is special country - everything will grow here... I mean South East Wales where I live, lol.
Grass is always green here - no matter the season.
Guess it is the humidity in the air - there is so many streams going down the hills...
