I went there once with my Granddaughter and Grandson many years ago. We had a lovely day out. Beautiful trees in that place. All seems a long way away now.

Don't hold your breath...Mum finds travelling really hard these days...it's not easy for her to get up here. I am going to try to get down there later this summer.

A beautiful Magnolia Kath - I've got a purple one in the front garden which I've just noticed has got two buds opening up on it!

The last time I went up on the train Scotkat and we had to stand from the station in Scotland to all the way down to Doncaster even though we had reserved seats, it was a journey from hell, it was when there had been plane threats and everyone had to use the train one was cancelled and everyone piled in on the next train. There was a drunk on the train and he was the loudest most obnoxious person ever, I was in so much pain from standing my back was killing me and I was totally put off from ever travelling on trains again. It takes too long to do it by car so the train is the only option. I might pluck up the courage one day to do the journey again but it is such a long way.

Hope it really has not put you off visiting your wonderful daughter though.

Maybe you could do half journey in train and a stop over somewhere then rest of journey .

Maybe next yr for Karen 50 and my 60 as we are going to go somewhere special when weather warmer

Its a nice morning I am getting 2 bites at the cherry today meeting another friend to walk at Murton this morning then Karen and Wilma lunchtime tomorrow.

Steady Scotkat she will be getting a head too large to walk through the door lol.
