I agree, when you've got kids it's difficult to keep neat and tidy, but gardens are for everyone to enjoy and get pleasure from including the kids!

Your right Sheilar, we enjoy the borders and the kids love playing football on the grass or driving their bikes around the garden. In the summer we spend all day, every day out there.

Exactly Stephen, it's your outdoor home, so enjoy it. The plants and grass will recover!

Lovely garden & nice seating area.

When my two were little they had great fun in my garden and they had their own bark-chipped play area with slide etc. They used the lawns to play with bikes and prams and paddling pools....lovely! But because I taught them to enjoy and take care of the beds and borders, and they learned about the butterflies etc., they both now appreciate the garden and I think my daughter will be a gardener herself one of these days! She's desperate to grow stuff, but lives two floors up at the moment :)

Thanks Sanbaz, the kids often offer to help, which is nice and your right, they appreciate the garden more. This picture was taken last year so it's moved on a little since then.
