Right you are Marguerite,
I remember he worked on his own cars, which were always a few (read10-12) years old when he bought them and keep them running a very long time. He work'd part time for a man who restored Model A and T Fords, the first cars to be made on assembly lines by Henry Ford circa 1920's, and also worked part time at a gas station. He was one of the big business getters for the station cause he could repair any make and model. His last car when he died in 1972 was a 1956 Chevrolet Belair with 2 tone green paint job, oh that car was great!

Maybe on his way to a rally, I love vintage cars. My grandfather was an automechanic, he specialised in antique cars and trucks.
