I think it's lovely to have a pond, I keep thinking about making one.

It's a liner Sticki, i have the stones over the edge to hide the Liner ~ they are great for insects birds i even have the occasional hedgehog come for a drink but you must have a shallow slop for them to get to the water and back again..

Do you just have to dig the hole, line with sand then put the liner in?

Yes dig the hole use sand then i used an under liner as my ground is full of stone, then the liner fill with water put oxygenators in and leave for two weeks...

Lol Sticki, yes the big dragonflys and hundreds of the little damselfly's all colours, the girls and i sit out there and they land on you to rest it really is a great feeling... plus they lay eggs and you can see the little lava scurrying around in the pond :-))
