is this the one that will grow happily in the shade? Im sure i saw one today that was growing under trees.

It is certainly happy in part shade. I am planning on getting one and part dappled shade / part sun is the spot I have for it.
It gets easily to 2m x 2m and probably more so it needs a good big space and I have just the spot for it.
The one in the picture was such a fantastic example.

beautiful arent they, almost like a hydrangea flower ~ but better!! im sure they would like it in my garden but i dont have quite that much space. bit tempted to put one in behind the garden ~ no one goes in that bit but i could still see it!!
