28 May, 2012
there are a few clouds on the western horizon here!!
it was incredibly hot today but i went to Great Witley, it was lovely when they turned the fountain on ~ a few of the droplets got carried in the breeze and people were walking underneath to cool off!!
28 May, 2012

the house is a ruin [sadly] but they have restored the fountain which is amazing, there are woodland gardens, a lake and a baroque church. oh and of course a tea shop

I'll have a look later. OH and I took a taxi to local 'Country Gardens' garden centre on Thursday. n Hoped to find something nice to buy and they had a 2 for one offer on afternoon tea. Finger sandwiches, scone (clotted cream, butter, jam) and fancy cake each with pot of tea. Bought nothing and if I had made the scone, it would have gone in the bin...I ate it though. The little fancy cakes were Mr Kipling...didn't eat them. The sandwiches were nice. I took a pic of them to show you, then thought people would think me mad...ME! :-)

i havent seen the picture??? i dont see why people should know i am mad and not you!!!
did you tell them what you thought of their cream tea???
how very disappointing
28 May, 2012
No, they were very nice people...I did take the first scone back as it was doughy and uncooked inside. I only did that because the woman on the next table asked if mine was uncooked like hers and she took hers back...so I did too...brave! I didn't put the pic on , but if you want me to I will:-)
29 May, 2012
I will leave it up to you!
Being nice people helps but what a shame so many things were disappointing.

o.k. girls. if this is not a weed I will have some please to put in the rockery, have to dash, going to B&Q. xxx
29 May, 2012
its around 18" wide and a tiny flower, its either a weed or a wild flower, its not something i would choose for a rockery maybe but i will certainly send you one if you would like it.
29 May, 2012
Yorkie, I thought it was a geum...kept waiting for it to flower:-(
29 May, 2012
send me one please Sticki, if you don't mind, the rockery is huge so it will be nice to cover some of the shingle on there,
29 May, 2012
Yorkie...it's an ugly weed!:-)
29 May, 2012
i will send you one but like BA says its not that great, it wont cover the shingle really cos the stems are so far apart.
29 May, 2012

29 May, 2012

I think it may be a creeping cinquefoil or tormentil, but they seem to have 4 not 5 petals....I've just dug it out:-(
