I hankered after a red MGB for my first car, could only afford a Midget but didn't buy one because, being tall, it was impossible to get in and out with decorum while wearing skirts ..... and my knees got in the way of the steering wheel. :-)

lol aye not a comfortable car if your tall, my daughter is 6 ft but she loves it, pictures herself cruising around the streets lol pity she hasn't get a drivers licence yet but we are working on that .

so what was your first car Xela?

My Father bought a red Ford Anglia, the one with the angled back rear window, in 1959 just before going to live in Italy. When I passed my driving test nine years later he gave it to me. The mileage was high and the red was several shades lighter but she was my pride and joy until I had left college and earned enough to buy a Morris 1100, bright red of course!
Paul is a Sunbeam Alpine enthusiast and talks of restoring his red one for me which would be great, but I am sure I would feel more at home behind the wheel of the Anglia again.

maybe he could find and restore a Anglia for you instead of the sunbeam.
has to be red whatever car yeah?

Between us we have two houses and gardens to maintain, one of them needs a lot of restoration and some extending, so restoring the cars is some way in the future ..... restoring an Anglia is more of a pipe-dream; but yes, it would be lovely if it were red :-)
