A view. Looking South

A view. Looking South

The Rhodo and the Spotty Laurel sit against a conifer hedge that is about 7 feet high. To the right is the old outhouse.

Directly between spotty-laurel and the outhouse is the Meconopsis. The soil is on the favourable side of acidic, the laurel and Meco' benefit from the downpipe of the outhouse.
I haven't so far given anything under the hedge any special treatment. But in future years I will probably top dress with leafmould.

And that is where the meconopsis (so far) is thriving.
