Standard Rose - Arthur Bell - First flower

Really first time you have grown a standard rose, most of mine are standard, I find there are more standards than anything else. I love Arthur bell, I have 3 of him. :)))

Do I mean standard? yes I think that is what they are called on a long stem like a very small trunk - I have the bushes and normal roses but this is the first time I have had one like this. Maybe that isn't what they are called Michaella you know me I am prone to getting it wrong. I think that is what it was called in the g. c.

Oh my gosh...it is me Barbara....I was thinking standard was shrub or bush roses..oh my goodness, I must be losing it. hahahahhaha, I get you, I do not have a lot of standard roses, I have loads of bush and shrubs. My apology! :((((

Er nooooooo not really. 4 markets to do this week ( I sell the things I make at a local market), which means non stop in the studio making glass stuff. Just as well weather is naff, otherwise would be a real dilemma! But, feel okay and have a week in Cornwall coming up, so can relax then. Life is just too busy to take it easy.
In fact, this does somewhat beggar the question - why am I on GOY when I should be in the studio? :)))
