I have some that are triple blooms too. Too bad the flowers only last a day.

For my favorite triple, enter Amethyst Reflections in the search box at the top of the page, then select a photo. I wasn't expecting what I got, and all of the seeds gave doubles and triples.

Wow that is a beautiful bloom! I love the frills on the petals. I've never grown daylilies from seed.

I have found it easy, and like the epis, you never know what the result will be.

How long does it take a daylily to bloom from seed?
17 Jun, 2012
Depending on your weather (the cold) it can take 1-2 years. Louisiana, Florida, and here are 1 year; further north is 2 (Wisconsin and Michigan take 3).

Wow I always thought it took longer. I may try growing some from seed one day. Most of my plants now I have grown from seed.
