Primula viallii - 2012

My fav primula Andrew...I came by 6 small ones, hopefully flowers next time...:>)

I have given up with this plant, bought so many and lost them all.....must be doing something wrong....

I too have lost them in the past Dd....not sure why..

This one has a reputation for being difficult - I don't think it likes our wet winters, although it needs moisture in the growing season. As you can see from the photo, I grow it in a basket at the side of the pond. I put the basket in the greenhouse for the winter which seems to do the trick (so far)

I thought I lost mine this winter - but it just started to show the signs of life very late:) Flowering happily now:)
