I nearly bought an orange one of these today but really, it would soon be too big for my garden.

I don't think it grows that big Karen, it says on the label 32" high and 32" spread, but I guess if you've already got an established garden finding space for new plants is probably more difficult. If it gets too big I'll just dig up some more grass :)

Sorry Suzy, didn't mean to scare you. I saw one last week in someone's garden, it was stunning, about 3' across and maybe 2 1/2 tall. It was covered with flowers. You're right, not a huge plant but I don't really 'do' big perennials because I need to have all year around colour and they leave big holes if you know what I mean! :D

I might well feel the same in a year or 2 Karen, but as its my first year of gardening I'm happy to see some colour lol!

yes, agreed. It is a lovely plant...honestly, the one I saw the other day really caught my eye. It was a yellow one...and the only plant growing in the garden except for a tree.

Its supposed to be evergreen in mild areas, so I'm hoping its mild enough down here.. we'll see!

I've got one very similar, Suzy. They look amazing on the insides, don't they? :)
