Thanks for your comments Homebird and Kat. It was so hot, I think he was trying to cool off in any water he could find. After he'd finished in his tiny bath he had a good long drink of the bath water!

The pidgies really do like your garden, they wouldn't tho' if they knew what you were saying about them.... Oven Ready indeed! lol

That dish fits him like glove Lily. It took them ages to figure out how to land on my RSPB hanging bird table. Once they got the knack they are always on the look out for an eating opportunity. Wonder if anyone knows why you never see a 'fledgling' pigeon?

Not so many of them now Val, they seem to have moved on except for a couple who refuse to give up. It's been a battle of wits but I've finally manged to pidgie-proof all the feeders by one means or another. I've now proved my brain is better than that of a woodpigeon.....or is it? LOL
They certainly don't Dorjac, I had to cut away all the branches around mine and fit a rigid plastic mesh cage around the tray so that the little birds can still get in. The pigeon now clings on to it, flaps around so that it swings high enough for some food to fall off! I decided that they deserve a bit of food for their perseverence. :o))

He wouldnt be sitting there now Lily! I have just tipped the ice off all three of my bird baths and a plastic box for rainwater near the Hawthorn. I use an old cheese slice to get under the ice and flip it off. Brrr one degree under all yesterday and just one degree over freezing this morning. Will we ever be able to garden?

Freezing here Dorjac and at least a foot of snow:-(
