I put raw crushed egg shells all around the new sprouting leaves...(i collect them all year)...grit as well..and a few blue pellets in the planting hole, when the leaves are coming through the ground i peg bits of copper scouring pads around as well...only way Dd..lol

Lol...Dd the other major problem is earwigs...they give me the heebie jeebies....I cant do the straw in an upturned pot thing, to catch them....so they usually eat the flowers....:<(
