Waddy - this used to be called leucojum autumnale, the autumn snowflake, to distinguish it from the spring snowflake and the summer snowflake. If you want autumn, I now have two chrysanthemums in full flower....

Oh dear that is ominous? By the way Andrew have just had our invitation to open again for the NGS (online forms) so difficult to decide at this time of year when to open, after the awful weather this year, I have no idea when to open....have you made any decisions yet?

DD - we generally have to make a decision by mid September as the details of all the gardens opening have to be correlated and checked before it goes to Head Office and then the printers. The Yellow Books are generally on sale by Easter.
My co-opener and I were discussing dates last night and we will go for a spring opening next year, probably May 5th and 6th.

Right, that is an early one Andrew, will you do a later one as well?

No, just the early one next year. I have a 'big' birthday to celebrate in June so hope to be be away in mid summer. But I may take groups by appointment later in the summer.
