thanks Mot...they really are very sweet and juicy. Came in for my lunch to find that hubby had been enjoying the tomatoes...He left me a few...very few.

Probably like me ... I eat them like sweets straight off the plant! Hope you got to enjoy the rest. :o)

looking good Lori....and im sure they taste good too..

Nariz: If you aren't careful, and using your best table manners (make sure your mouth is completely closed when you bite) they will squirt three feet! ...a mite embarrassing at table! lol
Sandra: This gives the younger set an added incentive (the amusement factor) to eat them! Those with picky grandchildren or nieces and nephews, please take note.
When harvesting, it's one for the basket ...and one for me!

Don't need table manners while hiding amongst the tomatoes in my garden, Lori! Just a leaf to wipe away the resulting goo! :o)

Ahhh the mental picture that comment gave me! LOL...wonderful. ;-)

I hasten to add ... when I AM at the table my manners are exemplary. ;o)

In that I'm sure we are all the same! lol...but it's such fun to regress to our childhood in the summer garden!

Lol! All my sweetcorn cobs are looking less then pristine now as I'm constantly tweaking their green coverings to see if they're ready yet!

You can tell by the silk, Nariz. it starts out yellow and succulent and when the cobs have formed it turns a dry reddish brown... Can just imagine your anticipation...fresh corn right off the stock is a delicious treat. (Especially sinful with melted butter dripping off). :-0...

Had the first one with our meal yesterday evening! Deeeeeeee-lish!

I'm envious! I didn't plant sweet corn this year, and it's a good thing too with the drought. We're getting more rain now and temps have moderated so the cherry toms are burgeoning, my lettuces have all gone over, and the dill is about 5 ft tall! going to leave some to seed and sell the rest at the local market.

:-) Thanks Jane! When the frost hit last fall I pulled the plants and dug under the green fruit...I'm finding seedlings emerging among this year's spinach! lol...
